We are starting to fix the Farmall M tractor. It is made in UK, 1951, but still M-decals, not BM. Last time in use somewhere 1970's, we did find it at barn corner.

This Valmet was originally bought by my father in May 1963. It looks to be manufactured on 1962. It has 6100 hours behind and the engine is in original condition. And that is an lot of power for an truck of it's age ,
There is no truck engine in this world that sound like Scania V8

5 +5, but the splitter did not work => I did drive with High gears only (it is ok with no load).

i'm lost in gear changes! what type of gearbox it is?
5 + R and Low/High range. I did not use all gears. I started with low range 3 => 5, then switch to Hight range and go 7, 8, 9 and 10.
@@scaniamania59 ah ok. i'm best used to 16 speed (4 low + 4 high with splitter)

I didn't know that there was trucks from the 1970s that you didn't need to double declutch every gear you changed into. I heard that in the Leyland T45 which came out around 1980, you had to double declutch when changing full gears (you only needed to press the clutch once when splitting the gears).
Scania and Volvo had synchromesh quite early. Also some Sisu trucks had synchromesh but later went back to using un-synchronized Eaton-Fuller gearboxes.
